ARC-detectors react quick as lightning and reliably
Microwave devices and systems working in high power area may quickly build up extremely high electric field strength. If disruptive strength of the dielectricum is exceeded or if humidity or contamination settle in the waveguide electrical breakover in the form of arcs (ARCs) is possible.
In this case part of the microwave energy is reflected. The arc goes back to the source. Guide and source might be subject to considerable damages and might even be completely destroyed.
Our high-sensitive ARC-detectors detect within fractions of a second and even with small light quantities the very first indiaction of an arc emergence. Their interlock signal starts switching-off of the microwave generator in time. Due to our efficient detectors in most cases permanent damages to the system can be avoided.
Our ARC-detectors come in two executions: The ARC1 is a flexible individual equipment with optical fibre conductor input. The ARC4 is a modular expansible system in a 19" rack. In convenience with the individual device we design low-loss optical fibre cables in different lengths.
AFC modules form a compact and safe unity
The AFC-unity (Automatic Frequency Control) is a key component within a control loop for frequency tuning of magnetron-operated linear accelerators (LINAC).
A microwave circuit integrated in the AFC observes the forward running and reflected signal between magnetron and accelerator cavity. Then the module generates two output signals which act in proportion to the phase difference of the two high frequency input signals.
From this procedure results a reliable regulated quantity which is necessary for continuous frequency tuning of the magnetron.
Our innovative AFC modules are uniquely compact and flexible at the same time.
We will gladly advise you on possible executions.
