AFT MICROWAVES GMBH

In the biggest experiment of humanity circulators and loads of AFT support the search for the big bang.

The particle accelerator Large Hadron Collider (shortly LHC) is the  biggest machine ever built by humans. In the research centre CERN near Geneva scientists developed a 27 km ring tunnel, where hydrogen nucleus (protons) are shot at each other with such a power that the result is a big bang in micro-size: 600 million times per second.

The accelerated particles which nearly have the speed of light are forced to a circular track by means of a magnetic field which is 100,000 times stronger than the magnetic field on earth.

This machine of superlatives should answer fundamental questions of thousands of physicists who will work with the LHC. They expect fundamental findings with respect to dark matter, to the unsolved puzzle, how matter comes to gain mass and to the development of the universe.

High microwave efficiency is required for the acceleration of protons. The products of AFT microwave protect the generators and thus help to guarantee the stability of the experiment.
