TCU - Temperature Compensating Unit
Keeps our circulators on track
Our TCU (Temperature Compensating Unit) is used for high-power circulators with the highest performance requirements . This digital thermal compensation unit, packaged in an industrial-grade 19″ housing, stabilizes the operating point of the ferrites by providing a correction current for the electromagnet in the circulator. The TCU works according to the calorimetric principle, i.e. the heating of the ferrites under high power is measured via water inlet and outlet temperature sensors in the circulator and transmitted to the TCU. Supplemented by our optional RF control using the RF sensor card module, the response time of the compensation can also be significantly reduced.
This means that the circulator always remains at the correct frequency, even when the cooling water temperature changes and the ferrites heat up under full power and changing load conditions, and provides the desired isolation.
Cables, replacement temperature sensors, configuration files, software and services round off our TCU portfolio.
